The Role of International Cooperation for Effective GLobal Deployment of Biomethane

Short Introductive summary

The production and use of biomethane has attracted global interest in view of its direct utilisation in transport applications and/or injection in the natural gas grid in efforts of “greening” the grid. Significant efforts have been undertaken by the industry and some of the related processes and applications are considered commercial with several technology developers able to offer quotations to interested parties. Representatives from the GreenMeUp IAB will present the latest policy and market developments in their countries during a joint presentation resulting in a clear picture of developments in some key countries that at present spearhead the deployment of biomethane with supportive policies, legislation and mandates.
