Production and Scale Up of Biobased Culture Media for Microbial and Mammalian Cell Cultivation
Short Introductive summary
This study aims to set up an efficient process to produce biobased serum-free cell culture media and investigate the performance of such media on cellular and microbial growth for food and biopharmaceutical applications. The hypothesis behind this project idea is that the amino acids and lipids recovered from BSG and rapeseed will be able to support the cellular growth being a less expensive and more sustainable option compared to the media currently used for this purpose, which contain FBS.
