Towards an Energy Democracy in Rural Communities in the Southeast of Mexico through Bioenergy Practices

Short Introductive summary

Bioenergy practices were promoted in six Social and Solidarity Economies (SSE), in which the main energy needs were identified by a SWOT analysis. Different groups of carpenters, craftswomen, mangrove producers and chocolate makers received training about bioenergy and integrated technology such as hybrid stoves, pelletizers and biomass gasifiers

Pampillón-González Liliana, PhD is a full time Professor in the Academic Division of Biological Sciences at the Universidad Juárez Autónoma de Tabasco in Mexico. Her work is centered on the sustainable use of energy resources, particularly agro-industrial biomass.
