Shape Stabilization of Phase Change Materials in Biomass-Based Carbon for Energy Storage Applications

Short Introductive summary

This presentation is about shape stabilization of lipid based phase change materials (PCM) in high porosity carbon produced from biomass obtained from various sources for energy storage applications. Effect of biomass type, carbon production process parameters and PCM loading method on physical, chemical and thermal properties of the composite material prepared from high porosity carbon and various lipids including animal fat, pure fatty acids, plant waxes and petroleum based paraffin.
