Biography
Biotechnologist by training, Simone holds a European PhD in Industrial Microbiology and Biotechnology from the University of Bologna, Italy. After having worked for about ten years as research manager in the bioeconomy sector at the University of Bologna, in October 2022 Simone joined Circular Biobased Europe Joint Underaking as Project Officer. Simone has a long experience in coordinating the activities of research advisory and management in the bioeconomy and circular sector. Furthermore, he served the Italian Association of Biotechnologists as President in 2009-2013 and as member of the Board of Directors in 2015-2021.
