Biography
Frédéric Vogel studied Chemical Engineering at ETH Zürich where he also obtained his PhD in Process Engineering. After a postdoctoral stay at MIT in Cambridge (USA), he joined the Paul Scherrer Institut in Switzerland where he started his own research group. Frédéric’s research focuses on catalytic process for converting biomass into fuels and chemicals. Since October 2012 he is professor for renewable energies at the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland in Brugg-Windisch and deputy head of the newly founded Institute of Biomass and Resource Efficiency.
