Characterisation and Pretreatment of Solid Biofuels

Evaluation and Optimisation of an X-Ray Fluorescence Analyser for the Rapid Determination of the Chemical Composition of Renewable Solid Biofuels

Short Introductive summary

A rapid measurement analyser for fuel quality of solid biofuels enables a transparent fuel trade and an optimised plant operation. However, to ensure confidence in the analytical results, the device must be evaluated for usability in the application field. Among others, an essential quality parameter of solid biofuels is their chemical composition. Because of this, the purpose of the work is to evaluate and optimise a commercially available XRF analyser to determine the chemical composition of solid biofuels rapidly.
