Advances in biomass gasification in terms of new feedstocks and tar reforming.
Pilot-scale Study of RDF Gasification in Pilot-scale HTW ®2.0 Gasifier
Short Introductive summary
This work presents the results of the investigation of Gasification of Refuse-Derived Fuel (RDF) in a Pilot-scale refractory lined gasifier with a thermal capacity of 350 kW, set up based on the High Temperature Winkler (HTW®2.0) technology. Overall, the comparison between the pilot results and simulation results reveal satisfactory agreement, evidencing the fidelity of inhouse code for a dependable design of commercial scale HTW®2.0 gasifier. HTW gasification technology was acquired by GIDARA Energy B.V. in 2019 and has been further improved/adapted for gasifying biomass/waste streams, leading to the patented HTW®2.0 technology.
