Pilot Demonstration of a Novel PtX Biogas Cleaning Technology
Short Introductive summary
A new biogas clenaing technology has been teste don a pilot scale at a biogas facility in Denmark. The technology is a PtX process which uses an oxidative agent to remove impurities from the gas. The oxidative agent can then be regenerated using an electrochemical cell. The process is more flexible than currently used clening methods and has potential for removing many different impurities from biogas. It has earlier been shown that the process can remove H2S to unmeasurable levels with a high degree of flxibilty. The process has now been tested on mercaptans, terpenes, and ketones as well.

Presenter's biography
During the last 4 years I have worked on desulfurization of biogas using a new electorchemical cleaning method. Besides this I have some knowledge of carbon capture technologies, which I will be working with in the future.
