Methodology for the Socio-Environmental and Socio-Economic Analysis of the EU Bio-Based Industry

Short Introductive summary

A methodology has been developed based on two approaches, one based on socio-environmental SPI indicators, while the second covers socio-economic contributions. This methodology assesses the state of the EU bio-based economy. This approach takes into account the status and contributions of each of the sectors that make up the bioeconomy, namely textiles, wood, pulp and paper, bio-based chemicals and materials, liquid biofuels and bioelectricity.
