The Effectiveness of Repetitive Bio-Coke Conversion Made from Green Tea Residue on Its Mechanical And Combustion Characteristics
Short Introductive summary
In this study, we have implemented a new technique of repetitive production of bio-coke production made from green tea for enhancing its mechanical properties. The suggested steps for repetitive production were as follows; producing 1st time bio-coke from raw materials, crushing it into powder then used it again as a feedstock for 2nd time bio-coke production. The same procedure was used for 3rd bio-coke production. The results showed improvement of mechanical properties of bio-coke especially for the mechanical strength characteristic at 700 °C. When compared with the 1st time bio-coke (9.20 ? 1.38 MPa), 3rd time bio-coke inhibited higher mechanical strength at 700 °C with the values of 16.18 ? 0.50 MPa. we also aimed to analyze the details of combustion characteristics of repetitive green tea bio-coke. This may essential for furnishing the potential of bio-coke and making it more attractive to be used as one of sustainable energy source in the future. (Explicit acknowledgement)
