Development of a Platform to Assess the Preliminary Potential of Hydrogen Production from Renewable Energies

Short Introductive summary

Today, energy consumption is increasing significantly across the world. The main parameters of the use of renewable energy, among which solar and wind energy are the most important resources, include the high cost, environmental problems and the high price of fossil fuels. Therefore, the growth of energy generation systems with wind and photovoltaic generators presents significant advantages compared to other resources. Furthermore, for some reasons such as high efficiency, no pollutant emission, and flexible structure, fuel cells are considered green energy resources that are at an advanced stage [1]. The above-mentioned energy resources also have some deficiencies, for example, wind and sun are intermittent and depend on geological topologies and environmental conditions, and the cost of fuels used in fuel cells is expensive. However, with the combination of some of these technologies and appropriate control and management, hybrid systems can be designed for high efficiency and reliability to meet the energy demands of different locations.
