The New Upstream: How to Map the Biomass Residues?

Short Introductive summary

Repsol has established an assessment methodology for new industrial projects for biomass conversion. This is supported by the development of a sofware tool containing all the critical information for decision-making processes: individual records for residues generated, location, amounts available, suppliers, technology choices to convert the residues, etc. It is presented how to face the definition of a new investment project for installing a biomass/organic waste conversion plant, based on the collection and exploitation of this key information, and the challenges to be addressed in this methodology.
