Short Introductive summary

With the aim of improving the overall sustainability of the citrus production chain, we present the results of the "CIRCLE" research project, in which citrus waste has been used as feedstock for different bioprocesses, leading to the production of a biodegradable active food-packaging film.

Assistant Professor at Dep. of Food, Environmental and Nutritional Sciences - DeFENS - University of Milan. My current research is focused on the characterization and application of new microbial enzymes in industrially relevant and sustainable bioprocesses.
