Navigating the Potential of BECCS and Forest-based Solutions from the German Bioenergy System Perspective to Achieve Net-zero Emissions in Germany

Short Introductive summary

In this study titled Navigating the potential of BECCS and forest-based solutions from the German bioenergy system perspective to achieve net-zero emissions in Germany”, We present a comprehensive techno-economic analysis that incorporates carbon dioxide removal potentials within an optimization framework tailored for bioenergy. The main subject of this study is the deployment perspectives of bio-based Negative Emission Technologies (NETs), specifically BECCS and forest-based solutions in German power, heat, transport and chemical sectors.
