The transportation sector is considered to be one of the main sources of greenhouse gas emissions (GHG). Following European Directives and Mandates many countries try to abandon the utilization of traditional fuels in favor of alternative ones, including electricity, biofuels, hydrogen fuel, as well as liquefied natural gas. However, for the aviation sector, the introduction of many of these alternative fuels is difficult.
