Hydrogenation of TCR- Bio-Oil to Produce High-Quality Bio-Byproducts

Short Introductive summary

The quest for looking for an alternative to fossil fuel has been on the increase in the last decade.this is initiated due to environmental degradation, climate changes and its attendant effects and due to depletion of fossil fuels across the globe. Hence the Production of renewable fuel and other renewable chemicals is achieved with an innovative technology for Thermo-Catalytic reforming. The TCR® is based on intermediate pyrolysis coupled with an integrated reforming. A hydrogen-rich gas and a high-grade bio-oil are produced at temperatures up to 700 °C in the reforming zone. The advantages of using the TCR®-oil are the lower oxygen and water content compared to other bio-oils and its most important characteristic, its thermal stability, which makes it distillable and applicable for other thermal processes. The product obtained will tremendously achieve the desired to compete with fossil fuels.
