Towards in Situ Syngas Biomethanation: Experimental Analysis and Modeling of a CSTR Co-digesting Syngas and Manure

Short Introductive summary

Biomethane is a key energy vector towards decarbonized energy systems. In this study we operate and simulate a continuosly stirred tank reactor co-digesting syngas and cattle manure to biomethane. The collected data and validated simulations will be used for process-wide analysis and system optimization.

Presenter's biography

I am an environmental process engineer currently working as a PhD fellow at the Free University of Bolzano. I am currently working on the biological conversion of syngas from biomass gasification to produce biomethane focusing both in experimental investigation and process modeling.
