Removing Technological Barriers in the Supercritical Water Gasification Process to Prepare a Biogas from Sewage Sludge Demonstration Plant

Short Introductive summary

In response to the climate emergency, CEA and GRDF collaborate to improve hydrothermal gasefication technology (300 bar / 600°C) and to developp an innovative sector of wet waste-to-energy. Different Prototypes (injection, salts separtor, gasification) are under developpement and evaluation with a wastewater sludge. The aim of this project is to remove technological barriers for a demonstration plant by 2026.
