A Look into the Adsorption Separation of Catechol, Accompanying Guaiacol and Phenol from the Hydrothermal Liquefaction (HTL) Of Lignin Product Downstream

Short Introductive summary

Recently environmental concerns bear upon academic and industry leaders to seek out alternative and more sustainable ways to produce chemicals and fuels. One of such alternatives is the hydrothermal processing of biomass. This process gives rise to variety of valuable downstream aromatic chemicals which have the ability to form the building block precursors to the chemicals and fuels used in industry today. However, this also leads to the problem of downstream product separation. This study attempts to address this problem using the adsorption technique targeting the valuable catechol aromatic from the product downstream. The approach is explained in the abstract
