Biorefinery platforms and approaches for bio-based chemicals and polymers

Separation of High-Value Chemical Compounds from Fast Pyrolysis Bio-Oil

Short Introductive summary

The research outlined in this abstract constitutes a pivotal component of an extensive project centered around a biorefinery dedicated to the purification of high-value-added chemical compounds derived from rapid pyrolysis bio-oil. An integral stage of this process involves liquid-liquid extraction. In order to optimize efficiency, an in-depth analysis of the drag behavior of these compounds was undertaken using gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry. The findings of this investigation are detailed and expounded upon within this abstract.
