Biomass resource assessment and mobilisation
Technical-Economic Perspective of Bioenergy with Residual Biomass in Isolated Áreas in Colombia
Short Introductive summary
This work focuses on the evaluation of the theoretical and technical potentials of the energy contained in the residual biomass of agricultural, livestock and urban solid waste, located in the three main isolated areas of Colombia (Amazon, Orinoco and Pacific, which represent almost 50% of the national territory), in order to consider them as a possible solution to the lack of energy supply to the communities that inhabit these regions. The results lead to the selection of the most appropriate technology for each specific case according to the type of biomass and power required, where the initial investment and operation costs (LCOE) are also estimated.
