Giulia C. Lamas, a Chemical Engineering graduate from the University of Brasília (UnB), is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Mechanical Sciences at UnB’s Department of Mechanical Engineering. Her research focuses on sustainable fuels, renewable biomass energy, waste management, energy recovery, thermodynamics, and thermal treatments. She actively participates in a research project at EMBRAPA Agroenergy, working on sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) development through RenovaCalc under RenovaBio. Lamas contributes to research groups like Energy and Environment Laboratory - LEA and LCA Brazil - Life Cycle Assessment, specializing in environmental impact analysis and thermochemical processes for waste and biomass conversion. Recognized for academic excellence, Lamas has been honored with the CRQ-XII Dmitri Mendeleev Award (2022) and the Medal for Best Student in Chemical Engineering (2022) from the Regional Chemistry Council XII Region. She now aims to vie for the EUBCE Student Award, aiming to further highlight her dedication and accomplishments in the field.
