Co-Combustion of Wastewater Sludge and Coal: an Evaluation of the Influence of Blend Percentage on the Energy Recovery Potential and Environmental Enhance

Short Introductive summary

Co-combustion is an effective way to improve stability and thermal efficiency of a system, although it requires special attention to SOx, NOx and COx emission. When compared with biomass, the sludge co-combustion with coal can regulate fuel properties, gaining attention due technical and economic reasons (Ma et al., 2022). This work aimed to evaluate the influence in the percentage of sewage sludge mixture on the behavior of co-combustion with coal in a bubbling fluidized bed and the profile of the resulting atmospheric emissions.
