Short Introductive summary

This study examined pore structure and thermal properties of high porosity carbon derived from underutilized, low value and locally available six different biomass sources. The complex interactions of pyrolysis conditions and biomass type on the pore structure and thermal properties are discussed.

Professor Dunford's research program at Oklahoma State University focuses on water-food-energy nexus. She has published over 350 articles. The main objective of her program is enhancement of nutritional and economic value of plant-based materials through innovative and sustainable processing.
