The Flexible Water Tank System (FWTS) is an innovative solution for rainwater harvesting, designed to collect and store water from natural depressions, ditches, and ponds following rainfall events. This water is then used for irrigation during dry seasons, enhancing water availability and sustainability in agricultural systems. The system is modular, scalable, and equipped with automated pumps and sensors to optimize water collection and usage. A pilot installation was implemented at CREA’s experimental farm in Rome to validate GIS- based simulations through field data collection, including rainfall, flow rates, and water extraction volumes.

Research Technician (CTER) at CREA-IT (Monterotondo, Italy) and Ph.D. student in "Engineering for Energy and Environment" at the University of Tuscia. Specialized in the mechanization of agro-forestry systems, with a focus on harvesting solutions for non-edible crops and biomass valorization.
