Introducing Camelina in French Cropping System as New Oilseed Crop to Produce Sustainable Aviation Fuel

Short Introductive summary

This study summarizes the work carried out in France from 2023 to 2025 about the introduction of camelina into cereal-based cropping systems, within the framework of the EU-supported CARINA project. The objective was to develop agronomic recommendations for camelina management into double cropping systems, in alignment with the RED III directive. A network of farmer was established with large fields and experimental plots to evaluate camelina as both a winter and summer catch cover crop.
