Biomass pre-treatment and production of intermediates (part 2)

Elucidation of the Enzymatic Hydrolysis Mechanism of Hydrothermal and Acid Pretreated Biomass

Short Introductive summary

In this study, milled wood lignin (MWL) was extracted from hydrothermal and acid pretreated biomass to investigate the structural changes in lignin and their influence on enzymatic hydrolysis mechanisms. The results aim to provide fundamental insights into how pretreatment conditions affect lignin structure and enzyme reactivity, thereby contributing to the development of efficient pretreatment-saccharification processes for enhanced biofuel production.
