Technical and Environmental Assessment of Electrochemical Biogas Conversion for Ft-Fuel Production

Short Introductive summary

This study presents a novel process for producing low-carbon Fischer-Tropsch (FT) fuels from the organic fraction of municipal solid waste (OFMSW) and its lifecycle assessment. the process integrates anaerobic digestion, biogas upgrading, and an innovative solid oxide electrolyzer cell (SOEC) that combines electro-partial oxidation of methane with co-electrolysis to produce syngas efficiently.
