Hydrogen-rich Gas Production in Supercritical Water Gasification (SCWG) of Glycerol over Pt-based Catalysts

Short Introductive summary

This study, conducted within the EU-funded BIOCTANE project, examines biomass hydrothermal gasification with platinum-based catalysts. The results demonstrate outstanding performance in carbon conversion and a very high selectivity towards hydrogen, highlighting their potential for sustainable energy applications.

Presenter's biography

I completed postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Pardubice (2020-2022) and the University of Oxford (2022-2024). I currently work at the Paul Scherrer Institute, where I develop catalysts for selective H2 production using SCWG technology.
