Short Introductive summary

The main objective of this research is the study of catalysts and catalytic processes based on bimetallic materials containing ruthenium (Ru) and transition metals, aimed at carrying out the selective catalytic hydrogenation (HYD) / hydrodeoxygenation (HDO) reaction of representative lignin model compounds. The goal is to obtain oxygen-depleted derivatives suitable for use as renewable biofuels in hard-to-electrify sectors such as aviation and maritime transport
