Sustainable integrated agricultural management practices - Prospects of a sustainable production of biomass
Assessment of Biomass Production for Green Manure in Short Rotation on Industrial Crops
Short Introductive summary
The aim of this study is to evaluate the productive performance of biomass and related bioactive molecules with limited development times of Brassica juncea and Rafanus sativus. The extreme flexibility in sowing these two species, their characteristic as plants with phytopathological activity against rhizosphere pathogens, their botanical distance from most horticultural species grown in the trial area, and their abundant flowering, which is an important nutritional and reproductive factor for pollinating insects, make them an important means of increasing sustainability and ecosystem services. In addition, NDVI multispectral satellite detection has been used to support rational decision-making for better soil management in relation to the next harvest.
