This study explores how to design sustainable, bio-based circular supply chains for biopolymers such as PLA and resins under future scenarios (2032 and 2050). It combines a strategic design framework with a modular simulation model to evaluate environmental, economic, and social impacts of scaling these networks. By integrating recycling loops, transport modalities, and facility locations, the research provides actionable insights for policymakers and industry to support the transition to a circular bioeconomy. Preliminary results highlight that early logistics decisions significantly influence CO2 emissions, costs, and socio-economic outcomes.
